New Stuff!

Jack has literally been doing something new every day in the last week or so. He has really been enjoying talking in every pitch he can get out...provides a lot of entertainment for mom and dad! :) He also finally got enough motivation to roll over and, in 3 days, has went from doing it just once or twice to rarely staying on his back. :) His newest trick...tonight he pushed himself up onto one knee and a foot! He was so proud of himself! :) And of course, like with all the other tricks, when mom went for the camera he laid back down onto his belly. So there are no pictures to share of all his new stuff...we were just too excited not to share. There are 2 videos of Jack talking that will make you smile though :)

Hermiston Trip

We took a trip to Hermiston last weekend to do a Gold Canyon party for Grandma Methvin (which went very well...thanks Grandma!) :) While we were in Hermiston, Jack got to meet his Uncle Rick and Aunt Lisa for the first time! It was great to see them, and he had a lot of fun. :)
We also got our pictures done by the Lukes (the same people that took our wedding photos). Happy Easter!

Today was Jack's first Easter! It was pretty uneventful, but we still had a good day. We went to church and Jack went to the nursery for the first time for a bit and played with the other babies :) He had fun getting into his very first Easter basket this morning...(and Mom and Dad had fun being the Easter bunny, too) :)

Big boy!

Well Jack will be 6 months old tomorrow!! We just can't believe how fast it has flown by! He has his 6 month checkup tomorrow and we are very excited to see his height and weight...mom is guessing he is about 24 pounds now. We'll see how close she is! :)

Spring?

We had some mid-60 degree weather a few days ago and it gave us a chance to get outside and let Jack play in the grass for the first time. He had a such a good time :)

Big boy bath!

Jack is LOVING being out of the infant bath tub and in the big one! He is such a happy boy and has so much fun splashing in the water and playing with his toys!

I swear one day that dog is just gonna jump in the tub with him!

We were at the store the other day and Jack showed us how ready he is for some sunshine here, too! :) He fell in love with some sunglasses and it was the first time that he voiced his opinion about Mom taking a toy away. :) He LOVES to wear them and will leave them on his face...he must know he's cute!

Sitting Up!

Jack has gotten really good at sitting up lately...he rarely falls over and he loves the new view of his toys :) Such a big boy!!

5 Months!

Well Jack is 5 months old today! We can't believe he is almost a half of a year old!! Time is flying by and we are having so much fun. He is on the verge of learning so many new tricks and he will be on the move before we know it! Happy 5 month birthday, little man!!

Toes!!

Well Jack is almost 5 months old now! He is still growing like crazy and changing all the time. He is eating solid food now at dinner...he has had sweet potatoes, peas, and avocado so far and although peas were not his favorite, he has still done great with all of them. We will be trying green beans in a couple days :) He loves to stand up and thinks it is really fun to look at himself in the mirror. Jack's newest trick...he found his toes!! He has been checking them out for quite a while, but finally figured out how to get a hold of them! Mom loves it because she gets to see those sweet chubby thighs even more now! :)

We are on the last stretch of another one of Dad's 48 hour shifts, and we aren't a big fan of them. :( Even as much as Jack was missing Dad today, he was still able to muster up a couple smiles and laughs for Mom. :)

Sweet Potatoes :)

So Jack was not very amused with the rice cereal deal, we think because it didn't taste like much. So...we tried some sweet potatoes and that was a big hit!! :) Tonight was the third night he has had them and he ate an entire jar this time! Just a couple more nights of sweet potatoes and then we are going to try peas. He is really liking sitting in his high chair and eating like we do!

So Saturday night was a big night for Dad...he got his pins and his badge for completing his year of probation with the fire department!! Grandma and Grandpa Hector came up to go to the banquet and Grandma and Papa Methvin came up to stay with Jack so Mom could go celebrate with Dad. Thought we would share a couple cute pictures from the weekend. Congratulations, Dad!!
Also, soon to come are pictures of Jack's first hair cut!! It was getting pretty long in the front and one one side :) so Grandma Methvin gave it a little trim while she was here. Once the camera is back in order we will put them up!
